Wentworth Valley Trails

The Wentworth Valley Trails Association (WVTA) is a volunteer organization that builds, maintains, and promotes hiking and biking trails in Nova Scotia’s Wentworth Valley. As dramatic tourism and recreation-directed growth develop in the Wentworth Valley—namely the ski hill—similar pressure to improve occurs at other popular Valley trail networks such as the Wentworth Hostel Trails and the Wentworth Valley Wilderness Area trails.

There is no denying the Wentworth Valley's wild natural beauty and natural wonder. Over 60 km of trails, waterfalls, the Wallace River, and stunning old-growth forests abound in the Valley. The area is home to Wentworth Provincial Park, the Wentworth Valley Wilderness Area, and several Nova Scotia Nature Trust properties.

Trail landowners agreed that a cohesive identity system should unify Wentworth’s trail network. Using a ‘systems approach’ to the visual identity, the parent brand—Wentworth Valley Trails Association—allows for various permutations, one for each trail.
